When traveling, be vigilant about protecting your possessions. Tourists are easy marks for criminals. When carrying a handbag, hold it securely against your body using your arm. Do not rely on shoulder straps alone. Avoid choosing bags that have zippered pockets on the outside. These are easily accessible in crowded areas, so if your bag does have one, it is best to leave it empty. Select a travel bag that will help you keep your belongings safe.

For longer road-trips, plan out periodic stops to check your vehicle. You never know when you are going to hit a long, isolated stretch of highway. When planning your route, look for possible service stations that will be able to service your vehicle. Also, you will want to have the numbers of these stations if you are stranded.
Think about what type of transportation you’re going to use. Buses are not what you may think. It’s cheap and clean, many have electrical outlets and free Wi-Fi, as well as additional perks. You can sometimes find packaged deals on lines that will make planning your trip much easier.
