Try to get a hotel room on a upper floor. This might not seem like a big deal, but thieves have easy access to first-floor or ground-floor rooms. Also, a room without sliding doors is highly recommended. These sliding glass doors are quite easy for thieves to get open.
A road trip is the perfect opportunity to listen to playlists of your favorite music, so do not forget to bring your CDs or MP3 player with you. That way you don’t have to hunt for a good radio station.
Don’t lie when obtaining travel insurance. Obviously, if you become sick, let the insurance provider know. If you become sicker on vacation, you’ll wind up with a denied claim. You will likely have to pay the bill yourself.
If you’re looking to traveling to a foreign country, try not to exchange your currency at the airport. Because it is often the easiest currency exchange to get to, the exchange rates are typically very high. Before you fly in, research nearby banks for currency exchanges, and you will receive better rates.
